```Duties```
- Perform preliminary tests on patients, such as visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception tests
- Assist with diagnostic procedures, including tonometry and retinal imaging
- Take detailed patient medical histories and record relevant information in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Clean and maintain ophthalmic instruments and equipment
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information
```Skills```
- Excellent patient care skills, with the ability to make patients feel comfortable during exams
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and other healthcare professionals
- Experience in retail sales of eyewear is beneficial
- Familiarity with EMR systems is preferred
