As a caregiver at Pathways Behavioral Health Service, you'll build relationships, improve the quality of life, and serve the i/dd community in need of love and care. Your goal will be to help individuals enjoy life by helping them perform their simple daily functions; meals, light exercise, social interactions, etc. Your compassion and diligence as a caregiver will bring joy into the lives of the clients you work with and help them feel encouraged, involved, and loved.
We are looking for someone who would enjoy participating in volunteer opportunities and some athletic activities daily with an individual who needs verbal prompts to complete activities. The hours are Monday-Thursday 4-5 hours each day. We would also be okay with Tuesday and Thursday, 8 hours each day and the rest of the hour on another day of the week.
Requirements:
- CPR Certification
- Experience: At least a few years.
- Skills: We're looking for individuals that are compassionate, social, trustworthy, and service-minded. If you have experience, cooking, cleaning, or caring for others, that's a bonus!
- Characteristics: This is an autonomous position, so we're looking for individuals that are self-motivated and willing to learn through experience and receive feedback monthly from admin staff
