DEFINITION OF POSITION
The Special Procedure Nurse is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of patients undergoing diagnostic and invasive procedures in radiology and other ancillary areas of the hospital. Insertion of Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters along with resource knowledge of Vascular Access.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
Minimum 2 years critical care CCU, ED) nursing experience within the last 2 years.
Current ACLS and PALS certifications or obtained within 6 months of employment.
Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
Pediatric experience preferred.
Competency trained in conscious sedation.
