In this role, your primary job duties will be as a Laundry Aide. You will be responsible for performing laundry-related tasks such as operating laundry equipment, sorting and washing linens, folding and organizing clean laundry, and maintaining cleanliness in the laundry area.
Additionally, you will receive cross-training for Housekeeping duties. This means that you will also be trained to perform housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and maintaining designated areas, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, restocking supplies, and following established protocols for a clean and sanitary environment. and vice versa.
The purpose of this cross-training is to ensure that you can fill in as needed in both the Laundry and Housekeeping departments, providing support and maintaining continuity of service. The responsibilities and duties of a Laundry Aide can include:
Perform day-to-day laundry functions: This involves sorting, washing, drying, folding, and organizing laundry items such as clothing, linens, towels, and other fabrics.
