Responsibilities
In this role as a Part-Time Residential Direct Support Professional in Honesdale, you will be responsible for providing compassionate care to residents. Your duties will include assisting with daily living activities, ensuring a safe environment, and promoting independence. Additionally, you will utilize your skills in caregiving, first aid, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities to enhance the quality of life for those under your care.

Summary:
We're seeking a dedicated Residential Direct Support Professional to join our team part time. In this role, you'll play a vital part in maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to offer personalized support tailored to the unique needs and preferences of those under our care, to foster independence, integration, and an enhanced quality of life. Please note that this position requires travel and/or transportation.
Location and Schedule:
- Location: Hawley & Beach Lake
- Schedule: Saturday & Sunday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Position Requirements:
To excel in this role, you'll need to meet the following criteria:
- An Associate Degree in a related field, or a High School Diploma/GED (experience preferred).
- Possession of a valid PA Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Preferred age of 21 years or older.
- Clearances: PA Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Clearance, and Federal Background Check with acceptable results.
- Completion of a physical examination by an agency-approved physician with satisfactory results.
- Successful completion of Medication Administration, First Aid, CPR, CPI, CPS, and any other assigned training within an acceptable time frame or as scheduled.
