Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for any adverse reactions.
- Perform basic medical procedures such as catheterization and tube feeding.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure the safety of the individual.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals under your care.
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding and medical terminology is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic medical procedures such as catheterization and tube feeding.
- Familiarity with family planning and infant care practices.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, their families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the needs of the individuals under your care.
- Ability to lift and move patients as required.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures for specimen collection is a plus.

Pay: $24,000.00 - $30,000.00 per year
