Are you a dedicated nurse passionate about making a difference? The North Carolina Department of Corrections is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team. As an RN in our correctional facilities, you will provide essential care to inmates, conduct assessments, administer medication, and contribute to positive change in correctional healthcare.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice.
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients.
- Perform routine procedures (e.g., blood pressure measurements, administering injections) and maintain accurate patient records.
- Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician's orders.
- Ensure excellent hygiene and safety standards are maintained in the facility.
- Provide immediate medical care in emergencies and assist during operations.
- Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants.
- Foster a supportive environment for patients and their families.
- Expand knowledge and capabilities through educational opportunities.
Job Details:
- Shift details: Discussed upon your location and availability.
- Pay Rate: $40.00 to $55.00 per hour.
- Contract Options: 13-week or 26-week contracts available.
Requirements:
- Valid 2-step TB test.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Recent physical examination.
- No cell phones allowed in the prison environment.
