Responsibilities:
- Represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner in all job- related interactions.
- Ensure that medications are accurately compounded and dispensed in accordance with pharmacy protocols and physician orders.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations; ensure that the pharmacy meets or exceeds accreditation standards; and implement "best practices” in all pharmacy activities.
- Resolve patient concerns and complaints, and provide counseling as needed.
- Conduct patient profile monitoring as necessary.
- Immunize patients and administer tests
- Communicate with medical professionals with regard to patient status and response to medications
- Maintain current knowledge of pharmaceutical products and manage changes to formulary
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies are available
- Maintain a system of lot and batch numbers that will allow for recall of medication products
- Manage pharmaceutical recalls
- Report product incidents as required in accordance with pharmacy policy
- Train and provide guidance to pharmacy students, technicians and support staff on day-to-day activities to ensure smooth operation of the pharmacy at all times
- Supervise the activities of pharmacy technicians and other department personnel
- Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies
- Pursue continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist In-Charge
Qualifications and skills required:
- Valid license to practice as a pharmacist
- Proven experience as a pharmacist
- Current knowledge of all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, rules and regulations
- Thorough understanding of medications, dosage administration and measurement, vaccine administration and testing, etc.
- Proficiency in all job related computer hardware and software (Prime Rx, POS, Microsoft Office suite etc.)
- Effective interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills with a customer oriented approach

- Keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Standing; Walking; Bending; Climbing; Kneeling; Stooping; Reaching at waist; Lifting/pushing or pulling up to and greater than 30 pounds; Sitting, Reaching above shoulder or below waist; Typing; Filing.
