Panhandle Pediatric Dentistry is seeking an energetic friendly Sterilization Technician to join our dental practice. Responsibilities:
- Turn over operatories, transporting dirty instruments to the sterilization area for processing.
- Set up treatment rooms for the next patient procedure.
- Assist with ordering of clinical and/or office supplies.
- Maintain sterilization equipment, following manufacture maintenance guidelines and intervals.
- Process dental instruments and patient care items through the sterilization process safely and efficiently.
- Help dental assistants, dentist, and front desk staff, when necessary
- On-job-training provided to acquire Radiography certification to assist dental team in obtaining digital images, as well as assist dentist with clinical examination pertaining to lap exams (as allowed by state guidelines.
- Maintains equipment & documents all spore tests.
- Follow OSHA, CDC and office policies and procedures in maintaining standards of care.

- Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete tasks in a timely and independent manner.
- Ability to accept direction professionally.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions and accept constructive criticism.
- Ability to work cooperatively with management, staff, and patients.
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism when exposed to stressful situations.
- Physical Demands
- Active movement throughout the day which includes but is not limited too: sitting, walking, standing, squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching. Lift and/or carry up to 20lbs. Pushes/pulls equipment/supplies. Manual dexterity and mobility. Hand-eye coordination and hand, arm, and finger mobility for detailed work with objects
