Job Summary: Sanctuary Louisiana is seeking a passionate and experienced Licensed Counselor to join our multidisciplinary team. This role involves providing high-quality individual and group therapy, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans that are tailored to the needs of our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in substance abuse counseling, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a deep commitment to the recovery process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the psychosocial, mental health, and addiction needs of clients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, focusing on achieving long-term recovery goals.
- Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions to clients, utilizing modalities suitable for substance abuse recovery.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment interventions, progress notes, and other relevant client information.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to review and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring the highest quality of care.
- Facilitate family therapy sessions and provide education to clients and their families about addiction and the recovery process.
- Participate in case management, coordinating with other healthcare providers and external agencies to support clients' overall well-being and recovery.
- Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in addiction counseling and incorporate new techniques into practice as appropriate.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of program policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance counseling skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent in the state of Louisiana.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in substance abuse counseling or a related field.
- Proficiency in evidence-based counseling techniques and modalities used in addiction treatment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Empathy, integrity, and a strong professional ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
