What we're looking for:
If you love helping people, solving problems, and getting compensated for being a team player, then Huskey Building Supply might have a job for you. We rely on our window and door service dispatchers to help roll our service teams out to jobsites across middle Tennessee, so a familiarity with major roads and cities hereabouts would be of great benefit—but not a deal breaker. This job also benefits from someone who is creative enough to think their way out a box when conflicting customer requirements demand it.
Why this job:
We’ll enroll you in Huskey’s Warrior Certification Program and help you earn your Service Dispatcher certification—something our competitors do not offer; we’ll teach you a marketable skill that will get you off to a great start in the construction and service trades.
What you'll be doing:
-
Taking window and door installation and repair requests from our sales teams.
-
Converting those requests into tasks for our field service technicians and installers.
-
Deciding which field service teams run which routes on any given day.
-
Modifying the service schedule to adapt to unexpected and immediate needs.
-
Saying “Yes.” to insistent salespeople who just want their stuff handled today.
-
Saying “No.” to insistent salespeople who just want their stuff handled today.
-
Orchestrating the chaos of a lot of demands coming from many directions.
-
Building great relationships with customers, builders, salespeople, etc.
-
Thinking your way to creative solutions on how to handle what’s coming at you.
What we'll expect:
-
A mannered person of honesty and integrity who can take direction from others.
-
A team player who first and foremost gets customer service.
-
A problem solver with sufficient tenacity to own problems and see them through to satisfactory resolution.
-
A candidate who loves building, construction, and the like, but who also has interests and hobbies outside the construction realm.
-
A candidate with an affinity for challenging work—this is not a job for someone who cannot adapt on the fly, nor flex to evolving customer and delivery needs.
-
Basic computer literacy and the ability to navigate on tablet devices like iPads, etc.
-
Good oral and written communications skills, and zeal for documenting your work.
-
Conflict resolution skills (customer wants it yesterday, we can’t go until tomorrow).
-
Must pass required company drug screens as part of a drug-free workplace.
