Environmental Services / Housekeeping Director

Twice voted "Best of the Berkshires," we are sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm since 2013 and maintain a mission-based environment for our staff and residents.
We are seeking to hire a Director of Environmental Services - Housekeeping.
- Earn up to 30 days of PTO
- We pay 80% of health insurance premiums
- The only Faith-Based Skilled Nursing Facility in Berkshire County
Director of Environmental Services - Housekeeping Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or the equivalent.
- Previous Housekeeping experience required.
- Previous Supervisory experience required.
- Experience in Long-Term Care preferred.
Director of Environmental Services - Housekeeping Job Summary:
- Supervise Housekeeping and Laundry staff.
- Prepare daily assignment schedules.
- Make daily rounds to insure instructions and safety are followed.
- Instruct personnel in the use of equipment and cleaning methods.
- Recruit and train new employees, assign duties and closely supervise until fully trained.
- Recommend personnel actions such as transferring, discipline or termination.
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Inspect equipment and furnishings such as beds, cabinets, chairs, screens, and fans and prepare requisition for maintenance.
- Inspect garbage disposal to confirm it meets safety, health, and sanitation regulations.
- Manage sufficient collection and distribution of linen and supplies.
- Keep record of areas that have been cleaned or painted.
