Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team for a full time, permanent role. The ideal candidate will possess previous perioperative, scrub, and/or operating room experience and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. The OR Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care during surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care before, during, and after surgery.
- Provide preoperative and postoperative education to patients and their families.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to emergencies as necessary.
- Surgical Assistance:
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by preparing and passing instruments and supplies.
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to aseptic techniques.
- Assist with the positioning and draping of patients.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Accurately document all aspects of patient care in the electronic medical record.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control policies.
- Equipment and Inventory Management:
- Prepare and maintain operating room equipment and supplies.
- Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and in proper working order.
- Manage inventory and order necessary supplies.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of [State].
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of perioperative, scrub, and/or operating room nursing experience.
- Experience in an ambulatory surgery center setting is preferred.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with composure.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Pay: $42.00 - $55.00 per hour
