The Position:
Schedule: 2nd Shift, preferably working on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with two additional nights worked between Monday - Thursday. The shift is from 5:00pm and 1:30am.
Under general supervision, performs various tasks including washing the exterior and cleaning the interior of vehicles (motor coaches, shuttle buses, vans, and school buses). Other tasks may include cleaning building and office, policing surrounding areas, picking up and dropping off parts and materials, and checking and replenishing vehicle fluid levels.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Moves vehicles to and from parking areas and wash areas.
- Measures and mixes water and cleanser solutions according to recommended proportions.
- Washes exterior of vehicles using water, cleansers, brushes, sponges, etc.
- Cleans interior of vehicle including rest rooms, windows, trim, instrument panels, carpets, etc. using broom, cloth, mop, vacuum cleaner, whisk broom and appropriate cleansing materials.
- Removes dust, grease, asphalt, concrete, etc. from exterior or engine compartment of vehicle using high-pressure washing equipment, or appropriate solvents.
- May be required to fumigate vehicles with gases or sprays as needed.
- Checks and replenishes fluid levels in vehicles including oil and transmission fluid.
- May perform basic maintenance/repair functions on buses (i.e., seat repair, light bulbs).
- Polishes trim using polish, wax or other compounds.
- Keeps premises of office building, shop, parking lots and other areas in clean and orderly condition.
- Delivers small equipment, parts, materials, supplies or other items between departments when needed.
- Other duties as required.
The Requirements:
- High School graduate or GED preferred.
- Practical experience as a vehicle washer or detailer is preferred.
- Skilled at cleaning vehicles, office buildings and shops; checking vehicle fluid levels.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment, supplies, materials, machines along with safe work practices.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record that meets company standards.
- Mature enough to safely operate motorized vehicles, especially motorcoaches
- Experienced in the use of Computer and associated software.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, and adhere to Miller Drug/Alcohol & Employment Policies.

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
